South Downs Water 2021 Year in Review

South Downs Water 2021 Review | South Downs Water

We wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year and look back on what our team have been up to at the South Downs Water HQ.

Our sustainability message

It is no secret that we are passionate about sustainability and take the future of our planet seriously. In February this year, we Celebrated one year of using 100% recycled plastic bottles (called rPET). We also continued work on our Greener Delivery initiative, working to reduce unnecessary road miles and carbon footprint. We will be continuing to produce sustainable products into the new year with the exciting launch of our new canned water.

South Downs Water: Think Globally

Keeping customers hydrated after lockdown

It’s hard to ignore the effects Covid-19 had at the start of the year while the country was in lock down. However, as we saw offices buzz with people, bars and restaurants open their doors to customers, we were there to keep people hydrated with our naturally filtered mineral water.

The return of events was a highlight for all the South Down Water team. As an estate-wide water partner to The Goodwood Estate, we were proud to keep spectators refreshed while enjoying Goodwood’s world-famous events this year. Our team also enjoyed a day at the races watching the ‘South Downs Water Race’ and presenting an award for the ‘Best turned-out horse’.

Supporting the local community

Hydration is our thing, and we know how important it is for people to have access to fresh water. That’s why at the start of the year, we worked with Southbourne Farmshop to ensure essential food supplies reached the vulnerable and those in need during lockdown. We were also proud to support the ‘Come on Donna’ team in providing our amazing local ITU staff with much-needed hydration, as they continued to work relentlessly looking after our community.

Come On Donna | South Downs Water

We have also supplied water to a number of charity events; from an exclusive charity preview of the latest James Bond film ‘No Time to Die’ raising money for Cancer Research, UK Harvest and Children on the Edge to the 4 Sight Vision Support 100th anniversary ‘Visions of Hollywood’. We loved giving back and look forward to continuing to support our local community next year.

This year we have partnered with new stockists and distributors to ensure that you can get your fix of South Downs Water further afield.
